I have a bad bad hairfall, what am i suppose to do. ADVICE HIGHLY NEEDED.?

If you hair is falling out it could be something wrong with your health not your hair....I had a similar problem and went for a blood test they discovered my thyroid gland was not working properly and put me on some medication and it stopped the hair fall out.

If that is not your problem try not washing your hair everyday or let it dry without using a hair dryer let it dry naturally. Sometimes women wash their hair too much and handle their hair in a rough way.

Also eat a balanced diet...make sure you get enough of the basic food groups.

Best of luck in correcting your hair problem

You need peanut butter, lots of it, spread it all over your hair, massage it in well, put a plastic bag over it, sleep in it, wash it out the next day and you should be fine

Men's Shampoo!???

my hair looks really great nowadays...the dandruff is gone and its silky too...but the only problem is that this is achieved by using loreal vive dandruff shampoo for men? now since im a female is it ok for me to use shampoo formulated for men?? is it the same thing as say using a mens razor or shave gel???? the individual strands of my hair are really thin but theres a LOT of them..so i give the appearence of having thick hair...but can the shampoo damage my hair in the long run....besides the embarassment of using men's shampoo is there any adverse effect that this can have on me????

Men's Shampoo!???

Don't Think So..Unfortunately, Advertisers just label products into Men and Women categories. In reality, it is the same substance just different labeling. I wouldn't worry. Who cares if you use Mens products. I use Women's razors for a closer shave. Who Gives a ****!@!@

Hairstylists only please.?

i'm fifteen and i want to dye my hair darker my hair somewhat. but i can't decide if i wanna go darker or lighter. nothing drastic just a shade or two. i want to use natural insinits by loreal which is a demipermanent color that washes out in about 28 washes. i need help deciding on the color. i have golden blonde hair when i was younger and it has just gotten darker as i got older.

here are pictures of my hair now.

i thinking for darker;

toasted almond or

suede

or maybe even

hazelnut or clove.

for lighter;

maybe coastal dunes of sandalwood.

would any of those colors look good?

Hairstylists only please.?

Go lighter. Darker would look dull on you. A nice golden blonde with a little brown would look really good.

Good luck

Hairstylists only please.?

i would keep the color of your hair but put black underneath.

Hairstylists only please.?

Ok honey I have a solution you should actually go lighter because darker seems to not look as good as you think it would. But light looks marvalous on a lot of people and plus I have asked a bunch of young men that come to my buisness hair plus and they say I would totally date a blonde girl and that they think brunetts look terribly fake and weird!! Trust me you'll be surprised!!

Greasy Hair !! :|?

I Know It Sounds Disgusting But

When I Wash My Hair It Goes All Curly And I Hate It !

So I Dry It Then Straighten It But Once Ive Straightend It ...

It Goes A Little Greasy Agen ! How Can I Stop This !?

Please Help !

If It Helps I Use GHD'S And Loreal Straighnen Cream

But No matter what cream/spray I Use It Always Goes Like This

Greasy Hair !! :|?

Try not putting any cream or spray etc. in Your hair. I also have long hair. I just wash it and I use a BIG TOOTHED COMB to comb it out. It's important to use a comb on Your hair. Any hairstylist will tell You that a brush is the worst thing for Your hair.

Good Luck

Greasy Hair !! :|?

It might be because you're drying your hair out so much that your scalp tries to create more moisture. But that's just one theory..

Have you tried putting talcum powder on your greasy roots?

Be curly %26amp; be proud!

Greasy Hair !! :|?

i think you are using the wrong product it might be a little too greasy for you.

wash it with a clarifying/cleansing shampoo, condition and make sure its all rinsed out.

try and blow your hair sections with a heat protector before you straighten, this will remove alot of the curls and then use a lightweight straightening balm, the other one is too heavy. also try not to run your fingers through it loads as you style it as this makes it more greasy. good luck!

Greasy Hair !! :|?

Only use conditioner once a week. If you need to though, shampoo twice during one shower instead of once and it will soften ur hair. cb (comment back)

Greasy Hair !! :|?

shampoo freuntly.

condition every other day.

dont use oil-based hair products.

dont go overboard with spray or products.

Greasy Hair !! :|?

heres a tip, DON'T use any straightening balms or frizz creams when u straighten your hair. just dry it and flat iron it. if you must spray a TINY BIT of QUICK DRY hairspray [i recommend V05] when you're finished, but the straightening cream is the reason why your hair is looking greasy.

Greasy Hair !! :|?

Well get it chemically straightened then stop straightening it cuz that drys out your hair totally, so it looks for something and finds greese...dotnt use conditoner ether!

Greasy Hair !! :|?

well for greasy hair you can put a little bit of baby powder in it and it goes away....

I use it for camping or early morning things!

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

I have naturally brown hair (medium) and I dyed it a reddy brown colour by loreal. I loved it but now its faded I want it back to a nice light brown colour. I brought a home dye but it didnt work and stayed the same colour. I re-read the box and it said it woudlnt cover hair with red colour. The only way to do it at home is to buy a dark brown which is too harsh for my pale complexion.

Therefore, will a hairdresser be able to give me back my lighter brown hair with some highlights or will I still have to go dark?

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

a hair dresser can get your hair back to light brown. they might strip your hair first to get rid of all the colour but they will def. be able to get it to the colour you want.

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

yes a hairdresser can i had black hair and went to blonde. It takes bleach and lots of time and patience, your hair will become very dry so you will need to use a treatment conditioner each week.

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

Only thing you could do at home would be to get a hair lightener from your pharmacy, put that on and it should lighten the hair enough for you to put a lighter brown colour on it. Other than that go to the hairdressers, but try lightening it first and see how it goes.

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

YES, THEY CAN LIFT YOUR HAIR TO A LIGHTER COLOUR BUT MAY BE DIFFICULT TO LIFT ALL OF THE RED TONE OUT SO MAY NEED A LOT OF WORK PLEASE GIVE HAIRDRESSER LOTS OF INFO ABOUT PREVIOUS TREATMENTS TAKEN PLACE ON YOUR HAIR SUCH AS PREVIOUS HIGHLIGHTS ETC, THEY WILL WANT TO KNOW WHAT COULD BE UNDERNEATH ALL THAT COLOUR!!!!

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

The right way to do what you wanted to do is to use a filler, or a color somewhere in between your natural color, and the one you're dying. Be very careful if you try to fix it yourself, because you could hurt your hair.

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

I have my hair with a red dye over it - Red passion by Loreal.

Red is the hardest coloyr to remove from your hair - do not attempt to do it yoursel or you'll just wreck it even more.

The hairdresser will charge you a bloody fortune to strip your hair but it is the safest way to get it done!!!

Good luck - kid x

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

you could try using an ash brown colour to try to tone down some of the red tone first before you try to lift it out as it may need bleaching and this can ruin your hair if not done properly. if this fails and you are really unhappy go to a good salon and ask if they use a product called magma . it can lift and tone your hair at the same time without having to use bleach.

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

Red is a very hard colour to remove from the hair. So you might have to have colour correction, the way to cancel out red is green, but dont worry your hair wont end up green! lol Of course the hairdresser will beable to fix it but after the correction (if thats what they deside to do) they would have to lift the hair a couple of shades lighter, because you cant lighten the hair with a tint. With a colour tint you can only darken. I would go to a good hairdressers and have a consultation and your hair will b fixed in no time! Good Luck!

Can the hairdresser fix this? hairdressers please help?

hi what i have done in the past its not a good idea to strip your hair at the hairdressers as this will dry out your hair , wash your hair in any dandruff shampoo head and shoulders is a good one, this will help fade your colour, then you need to buy a hair colour like ash brown as you can get lots of diffrent shades of ash brown light medium dark ect this will counter act the redness in your hair, i have reddy brown hair and to be honest i dont like the red in my hair so i always go for an ash brown shade,

Do I need a protein filler???What Does it do?

Okay. I have this situation where my hair is a bit of different colors....my roots are in which is a light brown to medium brown with a light red,the back of my hair is a dark dark red color(from my hair being dyed burgundy black a while ago) and so I was thinking of using Loreal Color zap on the dark red in the back of my hair to lighten it up a bit so I can dye all my hair a pretty auburn color. Do I need a protein filler in the process? What does it do? When do I use it and what tone do I use b/c they have a bunch of different ones.

Do I need a protein filler???What Does it do?

The protein filler is intended to repair damage to your hair from the abuse it has taken from over coloring. Based on what you are saying, it sounds like you'll need it.

A question about red hair?

I want to die my hair red, I dont want the bright red color I want more of a darkish red but is still noticeably red in dim light. A little bit draker than Emily's hair color from the movie "The Devil Wears Prada" Doeas anyone know what kind and what brand of dye I should buy? Is loreal preference good or is there a better brand?

A question about red hair?

It depends. I've dyed my hair just about every color you could think of and i've used so many different brands.. if you were going for a dark brownish red.. go for loreal, but if your going for a dark RED that you can notice in poor lighting. go for garnier they have a better selection in my opinion

A question about red hair?

Go to a salon and have a professional do it. You can get exactly what you want.

A question about red hair?

it is the only way to go, go professional.

A question about red hair?

Go to a professional salon. Good choice for going red! :]

A question about red hair?

the dye is actually called auburn brown

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

in the South East quite near to London, and there are areas which are frequented entirely by specific minority groups [I have no opinion on this by the way]... but I have noticed over the years that every time a billboard picture is put up in these areas, the following day they are partially painted over as the advertising pictures may have women with exposed arms or legs showing. It happens all the time...

Most of the advertising is actually not sexually explicit.. there might have been a Loreal ad with a woman running her hand through her hair but she has a bare arm so some of the people living in this area will paint over the picture all the way up to her neck...

Is this painting over of the billboards reasonable taking into account peoples' religious affectations....?

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

we are in btitain so other people should respect that its ok to have bare arms and legs!

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

multicultural alright

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

Good question. It is a classic example of whether the majority have the right to offend a minority, or whether a minority have the right to their point of view. No answer to give, but a good question.

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

Yes if there religeous to that effect. But it is destruction of property and is not sexualy explicit so it is wrong.

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

well religius people should just learn that the parts of body is a natural thing and should learn to deal with that they believe in god but don't like baring skin witch i think is rediculous

i also live in a multicultural city to in leicester there are sihks, muslims, hindues and etc and they do the same thing they even give us dirty looks if we are wearing a crop top or something even when its a hot summers day why they are walking around with a curtain hung on them all day

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

Where on earth do you live? I live in South East London where we are very ethnically diverse. In my little girl's pre school alone there are:

Brazillian

Jamaican

African

Scottish

Irish

English

Polish

Russian

French

Indian

Chinese

Korean

and some of mixed race parentage

But I have never heard of anyone painting over posters. Usually they just post new ones up advertising hip hop or DJ events or suchlike. very strange if you ask me.

I bet the advertisers are none to happy either.

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

People belonging to One or two of the religions are getting fanatic these days. It did not happen in the past but has started happening now because they are perhaps trying to show their assertiveness to the others or trying to force their beliefs on others.

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

Interesting didn't know this was happening. Maybe the advertisers should be aware of the offense they cause and put less 'exposed' adverts in these areas. Also the billboards may have a telephone number the offended parties can call to change advert, If they got many calls the situation may get solved.

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

how very strange. they dont have to look at it..

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

Isn't that graffiti? Or vandalism? If they object to it, they should move somewhere else. Or at least close their eyes!

If they object to what is happening outside their homes, they should stay indoors all the time.

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

i think the people are going abit over the top, at the end of the day its not just there community its everyones community from all different backgrounds so its not for them to decide whats to see and whats not so to speak.

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

Whatever they think and whether they like it or not, what they aer doing is illegal - and you should know that if your nickname is fitting............

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

Are you saying Graffiti is Racially motivated ? :-0

or Are you another one of those

'I'm not Racist, how ever i don't think I'm comfortable with the black guys in my neighbourhood" people ?

What do you think? I live in a very multicultural area of Britain?

Oliver Cromwell did the same thing. He tore down images in churches if he thought of them wrong. There will always be people who do the same sort of thing, in this case defacing posters. They can protest like the rest of us if they find things offensive. We have a democracy, use it.

Which Dye Is Better?

L'Oreal Excellence

Creme

L'Or鑼卆l Casting

Cr鐚玬e Gloss

Garnier nutrisses

Loreal Feria

Getting one of these tommorow and dyeing my hair first time dying at home any tips?

Which Dye Is Better?

I've heard Loreal Feria, is good..better than all the other ones you listed

So I guess by now you have coloured yuor hair ? How did it go and what did you use..good or bed result ??

Which Dye Is Better?

I've had better luck with Garnier. Color lasts longer.

Which Dye Is Better?

I always use L'Oreal Excellence Creme.

The colors are more natural and the conditioner is fantastic--I love how soft my hair is after I dye it!

Feria fried my hair, and the colors are brassy, and Nutrisse has weird colors.

Good luck---wear the gloves!!! And be sure to wipe any smears off your skin immediately.

Which Dye Is Better?

L'Or鑼卆l Casting i like taht

Hair Toners.?

My hair right now is an orangey blonde right now after two bleachings. i want a toner that will take out all the orange because i plan to dye it pink. i was wondering if there is any i can get at the drug store? any types made by loreal or clairol? thank you.

Hair Toners.?

You might need to go to Sally's Beauty Supply or somewhere similar. Get a toner with a blue tint to it to counter the orange. Good luck;)

Hair Toners.?

Get it done professionally honey before you're back on here wondering what you can buy for thinning hair

Hair coloring?

I'm going to be dying my hair from medium brown to blonde and I was wondering which coloring products are the best to use?

For example: Loreal, Garnier Fructis, Clairol, etc.

Hair coloring?

Is your hair naturally medium brown? Or is it dyed brown? If it's dyed, you can't use haircolor to lift you to blonde, you can only use bleach. I'm thinking you won't be able to make the full leap from brown to blonde, either, even if it is natural.

Don't use Feria, whatever you do.

Garnier makes good conditioning colors, but so does Loreal (Preference). Keep in mind you won't be able to lift your hair more than 3 levels with haircolor.

Hair coloring?

I like Garnier Nutrisse/Garnier Fructis best. But I haven't tried very many.

Hair coloring?

I would definitely recommend going to a hair stylist to get it done...

BUT- If you have to do it yourself, go to Sally's Beauty Supplies and have the staff help you pick out the color. You get a better product and they cost less than the pre-packed boxes of color you buy at the drugstore.

Sally's can help you pick out the right product/ developer. They also have special drops to mix in the color "NoRed" drops I think they are called to make sure your hair don't turn orange.

Best of luck!

Hair coloring?

I like l'oreal and clairol the best

Will Dawn fade my haircolor thats been in for about 2 months?

okay, so i've been dying and highlighting my hair for about 5 years, recently i used preference by loreal. i used loreal about 2 months ago and i absolutely HATE the color. its a blonde color. its been in for 2 MONTHS. can i fade haircolor with dawn that has been in that long?

Will Dawn fade my haircolor thats been in for about 2 months?

I use a white vinegar rinse in my hair, and I swear it seems like it can take it out. I'm into that health kind of stuff.

And also Dr. Bronner's castile soap! I could swear that takes color out. I never use it when I want to keep the color.

Pour 2 T. white vinegar into a bowl, if it's a one pint bowl, make it 4Tablespoons vinegar.

Wash hair. Pour vinegar mixture over it, and catch in another bowl, pour back over.

If it won't get it out, it might surprise you and give you a color that you will like! If ya really want to see the impact, condition it. Right after you rinse the vinegar out, go ahead and condition it.

Cause conditioner cause's the hair cuticle to lay down, and reflect or defract light, and that makes the color really show. And you might like it, when you see it then.

Did you ever think of this? You have not bleached you're hair for 5 years. But you have bleached you're scalp for 5 years!

More than likely none of the hair you have on you're head today is the same as the hair you had 5 yrs. ago.

So, There's still time to change the road you're on, and give yourself a break. That's up to you.

Will Dawn fade my haircolor thats been in for about 2 months?

im not sure bcuz ive never done that.but if u hate it that much the best thing would prolly be to get a stylist to dye it again but a different color.good luck and i hope it works out!

Hey girls .. what u think?

After i had amber highlights and brownish/ dark color, yesterday i colored my hair into habana brown... and the results got into Darker color! i bought this permanent color from Loreal F鑼卹ia... is this a good brand??

and i dye my hair my own (just to see the color i'd got) and i applied Volume Mousse from garnier and my hair is a lil rude now... soft but feels like thicker now... what can i do to get it soft/curl? by the way, my hair is long(at the half of my back layered)..... any idea??

Hey girls .. what u think?

I use to use the L'Oreal brand as well (several years ago). My stylist strongly encouraged me to stop using over the counter hair color and have it done professionally (whether at her salon or somewhere else - but just professionally). She indicated that these over the counter brands can do exactly what you are describing - build up on your hair. This affects how your hair feels and styles.

So my advice is to go to a nice salon - pay the money and have it done right. It will look great. Depending on how fast your hair grows you might only have to go a few times per year. I go 2 -3 times/year since my colorist does such a great job (I get the full head of highlights with some strands left natural - this way it as it grows out - it's not so extreme).

Good luck!

Hey girls .. what u think?

Dip your head in hot boiling water

Hey girls .. what u think?

feria is a hairstylist's nightmare cause it's pretty much impossible to get out of the hair (but at least you know it will stay- weather you want it to or not!). I would not recommend coloring your own hair because: 1) it sounds like your hair is already damaged from coloring. when you are using permanent color (the harshest) from scalp to ends every time you will end up overprocessing the ends of your hair. Permanent color should be applied to roots only.... 2) the results are very unpredictable with home haircoloring because it was not formulated specifically for YOUR hair and the result that YOU want, it was formulated for the general public. so its kinda "hit or miss"

As far as getting soft curl... do you have any natural curl? I would use a 1" to 1 1/2" curling iron ("Hot Tools" is a really good brand). pick up random pieces and alternate curling one clockwise and the other counterclockwise. Start in the middle of the piece you are curling and turn the curling iron until the ends are tucked in between the shell and the barrel of the iron. If you have any natural curl you could mix natural with curling iron curl and shake it together so they blend (it helps sometimes to leave the ends out when you curl your hair so it blends better with the natural curl)

Best shampoo & conditioner for dyed blonde hair?

I have dyed platinum blonde hair. Its in pretty good condition considering its coloured, but i was just wondering what shamppo is best to keep it soft and shiny (as it sometimes dries out!) but that wont make it greasy.

Ive tried sunsilk blonde - makes it even drier!! and loreal gloss - but omg it wouldnt wash out!!!!

I love Tigi dumb blonde - but its expensive and my hair is really long so takes so much of it!

Any ideas would be fab - or just general hair tips! x

Best shampoo %26amp; conditioner for dyed blonde hair?

You dont need a blonde shampoo necessarily! Try Tigi Honey and Oatmeal (Catwalk range) only 35 for shamp and cond- leave cond in for 20 mins and rinse!

Tigi Blonde is a protein based conditioner so It lacks moisture. If you over protein your hair it can become very brittle so steer clear of that one.

Also, If you want cheap stuff, Herbal Essences are great- be wary of Pantene as ity makes your hair feel good but it contains Silicone which dulls and damages your hair when used for long periods.

Best shampoo %26amp; conditioner for dyed blonde hair?

Herbal Essences

Best shampoo %26amp; conditioner for dyed blonde hair?

A hairdresser told my mom to use pantene.

Best shampoo %26amp; conditioner for dyed blonde hair?

I suggest John Freida's Sheer Blonde. it will totally lock in the blonde dye as if it was ur natual hair color.

Best shampoo %26amp; conditioner for dyed blonde hair?

use a normal shampoo and conditinor but good

panteene classic care or for dry and damaged hair

BUT

the thing you need to use to get your hair shiny or softer is a treatment after this buy one by tigi or redken,

trust me it makes a difference shamppos claim they do lots of things but usually its just to clean your hair, treatments are desgined to make your hair look softer , ranges from 20- 40 but you can even by ones for less like brands like panteen but better to go with salon ones.

:)

Best shampoo %26amp; conditioner for dyed blonde hair?

Hey I have dyed brown hair but for a long time have used Biolage Shampoo and Conditioner for colored hair the conditioner you leave on for 2-3 minutes and you can only get it in beauty supply stores or in a salon. It makes you hair shiny and nice and soft.

Best shampoo %26amp; conditioner for dyed blonde hair?

Try Garnier Fruitis!!

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

I am looking to give my hair more of an edge so I am going to use Loreal Paris color rays but cant decide what color to use....red rays or ******* flash??!! help and I might use ur desision go to http://www.lorealparis.ca/en/haircolor/i...

to see the two color and all 5 colors!! =D

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

******* flash! I think red highlights have already been done a lot. ******* highlights are something different, that's for sure. Just make sure you are really positive you want to highlight your hair -- highlighting/dying your hair does cause damage. The decision is ultimately up to you! I hope you like whatever you pick.

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

it really depends on what your hair color is now. if your hair is brown, try red. if your hair is blond, try fuscia. trust me, the fuscia in blonde hair looks really cool.

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

omg DO NOT DO YOUR OWN HIGHLIGHTS IF YOU HAVE DARK HAIR...IT WILL TURN ORANGE.I PROMISE..IF ITS LIGHT..HIGHLIGHT AWAY...ID SAY RED CUZ ITS MORE VERSATILE...******* IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A HAIRCOLOR..ITS SUPPOSED TO BE A CRAYON COLOR.

Tough desision...YOU PICK?

red's been done too many times...

be different!

Which blow-dryer do you prefer for me to buy?

i dont want a cheap on but i have to buy it from walmart, or walgreens. so is there any good blow-dryer i can buy. like the salon types that i can actually press on my hair and make it pro dry. afte applying the loreal paris studio line hot straight cream?

Which blow-dryer do you prefer for me to buy?

i would really recommend a chi hair dryer i have that and dries my hair in less than 5 minutes. it is professional and really good and dosnt damage the hair. i m not sure if they have those at walmart but if they do get that one its the best ive had so far and i dry my hair every day and it works great since i need to go to school real fast.

Which blow-dryer do you prefer for me to buy?

Conair

Which blow-dryer do you prefer for me to buy?

whatever you do do not get a conair blowdryer it will damage ur hair!

Hair Color Removal?

I dyed my hair dark brown about a month and a half ago and I'd like to go back to something closer to my natural light brown. Has anyone tried to remove haircolor at home before? Are there any products that are better than others? I read up on Loreal Effersol Haircolor Remover and if anyone has had any experiences with that, please share them because right now that's looking like a decent option. Last, I think I should mention that a salon is not really an option for me because I'm on a budget. If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!

Hair Color Removal?

While I have not personally used Effersol, I have heard and read about people who have. It is VERY harsh on your hair. I think it also removes more than simply the dye but also strips some (if not most), of your natural color as well. This would mean that you would need to color it AGAIN with a shade that resembles your natural hair color. Dying it twice AND using Effersol all in such a short time, may do serious damage to your hair. I actually read about someone who resorting to shaving all their hair off and simply starting 'from scratch' , so to speak, in order to deal with the damage the dyes and color strippers had done. Perhaps you could simply talk with a hair professional and get some suggestions , or wash your hair often with very astringent shampoos (and condition it A LOT), in order to help the color to fade quicker. Good luck. Oh, and I should add that this is what I did when I was stuck with a hair color I didn't like. Eventually it faded enough that I could dye it with a temporary shade similar to my own color (safer for the hair), until it all grew out and could be natural again. Of course it wasn't as light as my natural color until the dyed part all grew out, but it wasn't as dark as the oringinal dyed color either.

I'm really confused :S:S?

i really wanna remove my permanent black hair dye and all the advice columns say use Loreal Colour Zap but i cant find it anywheree!

i live in the uk so i checked Superdrug, Boots ,Savers and that but they didnt have it :S

where can u get it?

pls help i'm getting my hair cut today :O

I'm really confused :S:S?

I agree with the first poster. Go to Loreal's web site and search the product you want. They may have on line listings of where you can buy it in your area. If they don't have stores in your area that have it them send them an email and ask customer service to get back to you. If there is no store in your area that carries that product then you can order it directly from the company.

I'm really confused :S:S?

Look it up on net n u might be able to buy it online.

if u have already tried thn i'm nt sure sorry xx

I'm really confused :S:S?

Just get any kinda of dye remover. doesn't have to be loreal. just know that after you do it your hair wont be back to your normal color because you died it black so it will turn out a littler darker than your normal. You can also ask when you get your hair cut if they can remove the coloring for you. It will obviously cost more but then at least you wont have to worry about it getting messed up.

Curling gel?

My hair is naturally straight. Is there any kind of gel or mousse that i can apply on my hair so that my hair can be curly without the curling iron ??? It takes too long to do the iron cuz my hair is long.

My friends told me to use the Loreal mousse, and just rub it kind of up and down to make waves. But it doesn't work for me. When she applys it on, her hair looks really naturally curly and have a shiny wet looking ??? What can i do ????

HIGHlIGHTING HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... please help!! CHOOSING color for highlights~ HELP?

I have used this product before...If your mom has done your hair often, then I would still say that you should test the dye on a part of your hair (underneath, maybe) to ensure that it is going to work...

I also suggest perhaps going to Sally's and purchasing some of their dyes that are made specifically for beauticians...I have had a NIGHTMARE with getting someone who didn't know what they were doing, used the wrong developer and I ended up with ORANGE hair...Orange as in a carrot...

Just be careful and be confident in the brand you are using and the person doing it...

HIGHlIGHTING HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... please help!! CHOOSING color for highlights~ HELP?

HIGHlIGHTING HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... please help!! CHOOSING color for highlights~ HELP?

good luck!!

HIGHlIGHTING HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!... please help!! CHOOSING color for highlights~ HELP?

Here is the deal. If your mom has done a highlight on you before and it worked, stick with it. As a cosmetologist I have seen far too many color oops by at home jobs. You need to have a high enough developer to get you to the level you want to go to. Color pulls out of the hair like this - first you will see red, then orange, then yellow, then white ( tones of those colors of course) If you don't have a high enough developer you may wind up being to "brassy" of not getting the lift you want. My suggestion: ask your hair dresser who cuts your hair what she would use on you. Go to Sallys or other beauty supply store open to the public and get the same color. Best of luck!

Is there anyway to remove all permenant hair dye?

I naturally have dark brown hair. i dyed it light for most of my dying hair life lol. I dyed it dark brown recently, didnt work so i dyed it again and it worked it was beautiful and i loved it. But it has faded back to light brown!!!! And my hair is naturally dark brown! Is there a certain brand of dye i need for it to stay (i used a cheap revlon the first try and then got loreal feria the second try, absolutely beautiful, but its completely faded.) or a way to get all the permnant dye out of my hair and just have my natural?!

Is there anyway to remove all permenant hair dye?

Either wait it out, for it to all grow out, so that you natural color can come back, or have a pro at a salon do a "stripping" procedure to get all the fake coloring out.....personally, I would leave it alone, and just let it grow out naturally.

Is there anyway to remove all permenant hair dye?

Go to the salon and have a professional strip the color:]

Is there anyway to remove all permenant hair dye?

let it grow out!!!!! stop putting more colours on top of colours! your hair will fall out!!!!! let your natural colour grow through if thats what your after. best advice is go to a good hair dresser!!!!

Is there anyway to remove all permenant hair dye?

if you dont want to go to a salon

you could get a hair strip

from like sallys b eauty

or any store basically

and it will take off the whole thing,

which tends to be bad for your hair

but it would be good

to go to a salon

and get a consultation

Is there anyway to remove all permenant hair dye?

ya just gotta wait it out

Is there anyway to remove all permenant hair dye?

it has to grow out

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

hi! i just got my hair highlighted yesterday. i brought my own kit from loreal, but the color didn't do anything, so they had to use the one from the salon in the end. the girl, who did it was quite slow, so one side is lighter than the other. i can deal with that, that happens, its highlights. i wanted to ask you, what shall i use, so the highlights don't wash out even lighter, i wouldn't want it lighter than it is now - speciallt the lighter side!

my hair is medium brown and the gihglights are kinda caramel color on one side, one part is slightly lighter than that - blond-ish.

thank you so much!

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

I wouldn't be happy if I had it done at the salon and it was different colours.

You need to go back to the salon and speak to the Manager.

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

Use a color protecting shampoo, like biolage.

If it gets too light, put some toner on it for a few minutes. That will bring the blonde down

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

i would dye your hair all one shade so that it is all even...then get the highlights professionally put in. DONT make them look too fake though!!!!!

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

I would suggest you simply condition your hair really well so the color will not fade. If you let the conditioner to stay on your hair for about 3-5 (sometimes 10) minutes you will be fine. One thing is you can never over condition your hair.

Hope this helps

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

With the highlight kit you bought it should have came with a conditioner. That maintains the color.

Or you can buy shampoo that's made especially for treating color hair.

I recommend you buy this at a salon.

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

Use a color protecting shampoo and conditioner. Also, dont go out in the sun too much. Sun dulls the color. Do regualr deep conditioning treatments.... Also you got ur hair haighlighted and colored, so dont wash your hair for atleast 48 hours straight. let the color lock in. Secondly, oil ur hair regualrly after that, keep it overnight and then wash it off. Dont forget to appy a leave in conditioner.

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

Your highlights won't wash out lighter, but they will get lighter. When you use a high lift process you open the cuticle and strip your natural pigment out.And unfortunately it just keeps getting lighter because the cuticle stays partly open.I would suggest toning it a shade darker on the lighter pieces to bring it all to caramel. Also Heat ,sun and minerals in your water will add to the lightening process.

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

Try Clairol Colorseal, I use it and it works great! http://www.clairol.com/niceneasy/colorse...

Hi girls, need advice after highlighting?

Go back to the salon and have them redo the darker side, it shouldn't take long since it already had been highlighted. Then have them put a toner over ALL of it so its even and not too light. You can choose the color of the toner, basically a toner is just a really light hair color with very little peroxide, and sometimes none at all. It removes any purple or orange "brassy" tones that sometimes happen where bleach is left on too long or not long enough. As far as your highlights washing out lighter, the only way that could happen is if your stylist already put on a toner and the toner fades out with normal washing. Use a color protecting shampoo and conditioner such as Redken (it comes in a red bottle) or Biolage. Good luck.

Light brown or burgandy/ purple?

I want to color my hair this summer.. and i'm considering - either light brown natural color by nice and easy,

OR

burgandy/ purple/ violet color - by loreal?

which would look better on my naturally DARK BROWN HAIR?

it was previously dyed 2 and a half months ago to dark brown after a hair highlighting mishap that turned it orange..

which do you prefer?

thanx1

Light brown or burgandy/ purple?

light brown natural color by nice and easy

Light brown or burgandy/ purple?

burgandy/purple/violet color, but use it in a wash, so that your hair just has a HINT of purple, but it's still basically dark brown.

Light brown or burgandy/ purple?

The light brown. Burgundy/purple is so 2 years ago.

Light brown or burgandy/ purple?

light brown

Light brown or burgandy/ purple?

I think that you should do the light brown with the burgandy strands, that would be so hot and edgy, very different, but very now.

Good luck!

Light brown or burgandy/ purple?

i've had some experience with loreal and the color doesnt come out too well on dark hair, but it might work on yours. i really like the violet color on light skin (judging by your picture) but light brown is in the norm and pretty as well, and MUCh easier/bertter to dye your hair then the loreal color.

Light brown or burgandy/ purple?

my hair IS light brown, and ive died it burgandy purple, and i love it purple, and hate it brown

you should make urs purple

Light brown or burgandy/ purple?

Hair care shampoo. Recommendation pls?...?

Hi, i have a little problem.. i've been using Johnson %26amp; Johnson's baby shampoo for quite sometime now.. I have decided to change my shampoo as it doesn't seem to be effective in keeping my hair clean as much as I had hoped. So I've narrowed down my list to a few choices.. Head %26amp; Shoulders, Clairol Herbal Essences and Loreal's Kerastase range of shampoos. Could someone recommend one and pls tell me why too? Thanks so much... Oh yes, and I do have a mild dandruff problem which I am treating with Nizoral once a week.

Hair care shampoo. Recommendation pls?...?

I would suggest Paul Mitchel products. Your just not going to get the clean and moisturized scalp that you need from store bought products. You need salon quality shampoos, which will not contain as much Sodium Lauryl (or lauryth) Sulfate. Sodium Lauryl Sulfate is the chemical that makes shampoo foamy, but it's damaging and stripping to your hair. Paul Mitchel products are gentle on your hair while keep your scalp moisturized which will aid you with the dandruff problem.

Hair care shampoo. Recommendation pls?...?

I recommend you use two shampoos like the one your using to treat your problem and Head and shoulders and just focus on a good Conditioner to keep your hair moisturized. I like Herbal Essance their new line is great you just have to find one that is compatible with what you want your hair to do. Do you have thin hair, thick? Do you need more volume? Do you need to keep the frizz down? Look for the right conditioner. Good luck!!

Hair care shampoo. Recommendation pls?...?

Try Mane 'n Tail. It is commercially available in supermarkets. It is a bit costly though as compared to the other brands.

"A good choice is Mane 閳ユΕ Tail shampoo, which won the Cosmo Girl 2003 Kiss of Approval award for best moisturizing shampoo. This gentle, pH balanced formula is fortified with moisturizers and emollients providing body and shine. It cleans without stripping the hair of its natural oils. Pair it with Mane 閳ユΕ Tail conditioner, an exclusive protein enriched formula which maintains, nourishes and conditions hair and scalp to aid healthy hair growth."

To know more about this brand, visit:

http://www.pioneerthinking.com/ara-hairc...

Hair care shampoo. Recommendation pls?...?

Try to use organic or herbal shampoos. Commercial shampoos contain certain harmful chemicals that cause certain illnesses, two of which are SLS(Sodium Lauryl Sulfate) %26amp; SLES(Sodium Lauryl E.. Sulfate)--said to be cancerous.( check the ingredients, Mane N Tail has these, others do too) Some chemicals "block" the scalp, preventing the hair follicles from absorbing certain nutrients %26amp; thereby cause falling hair or other scalp problems.

You can apply honey directly to your hair %26amp; scalp. (regular)Massaging helps in blood circulation in the area. As conditioner, calamansi (small kind of lemon-like Asian fruit) has limonene that works. Go organic; it's better for your hair %26amp; cheaper.

Since hair is primarily made of protein, eating protein-rich foods help. Exercise also helps by improving blood circulation in the body, including the scalp area.

Good luck!

Hair care shampoo. Recommendation pls?...?

I switch my shampoo every three months, and I recently started to use herbal essences, and out of all the shampoo that I have gone through in the past year or so I have never seen my hair so shiny, soft and clean in ages. So I would definatly recommend herbal essences!

What if i dye my hair....?

...with l'oreal's COLOR PULSE?

i'm dark blonde and i want to dye my hair black with color pulse...

but i'm a bit scared cuz i don't want GREEN hair!!

so... you think that it'll ruin my hair??

what color you think it'll be better on me?

(no red please)

in italy we have less colours so there's a picture

http://www.pharmaprix.ca/english/beauty/...

[sorry for mistakes]

love

x_half_x

What if i dye my hair....?

I dye my hair with Color Pulse alot, and it doesnt ruin your hair, and it wont make it green no matter what color your hair is at the moment..

But the color doesnt last very long with this brand since its only a color wash, so it will only last around a few weeks or so.

And then your natural color of your hair comes back, and the dye is washed out.

It works fine for me, and I think you should go with black, or whatever color you choose..

good luck.

What if i dye my hair....?

I tryed that stuff too. Don't be afraid to go bold cause its temporary. FYI it washes out really fast if u go for a swim in a chlorinated. So good luck and enjoy

Root Touch Up?

Can you use this new Loreal Root Touch Up to run highlights through your hair? It seemed like it would be easier to do than a highlighting kit. Just wondering?

Root Touch Up?

I tried it, (think I would save some money, not having my stylist do it), and it turned out horrible. The wand I think is what you have to be careful with. Also matching your highlights, especially touch ups. I've been successfully with pulling through a cap. I don't remember the brand, but it Say's especially for blonde's, brunettes, and so on. This one you pull from a cap. Good luck, I hope yours turns out better than mine did.

Root Touch Up?

i wouldnt... if it went wrong it would just be easier to use a hilighting kit than to try to fix what you messed up

Want to dye medium brown hair into dirty-ish blonde... HELP!?!?

Ok i've heard the the loreal colorpulse line, but i have questions. would it work if i used maybe 3 boxes of those [[since i have medium sized hair]] to turn my hair into a dirty blonde-ish? If that doesn't work how can i get my hair blonde without the use of the salon? Please HELP!

Want to dye medium brown hair into dirty-ish blonde... HELP!?!?

Someone has their facts mixed up...or their hair colors. L'oreal color pulse is not a dye and it washes out after about ten shampoos. It will not make dark hair lighter as it lacks the bleach to do so. If you want to make your dark hair a lighter color you will have to get a dye that has ammonia in it. I would suggest going to the store and looking for a light honey, or dusky, blonde color...in a permanent dye. L'oreal and Clairol both have some really good colors. You just have to pick the one you like the best.

*note* never try to bleach dark hair with lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide...it will do horrid things to your hair.

Want to dye medium brown hair into dirty-ish blonde... HELP!?!?

I wouldn't take the chance of my hair falling out, a professional stylist is the best, find one that is good that won't cost a million dollars!

Want to dye medium brown hair into dirty-ish blonde... HELP!?!?

yea i think u got it down already

just buy the hair dye that u could use urself and u could do it or someone else could

try garnier fructise

it's AWESOMEAWESOME (:

but be careful ur hair mite dry out if u dye it too much

Want to dye medium brown hair into dirty-ish blonde... HELP!?!?

You can't 'dye' dark hair blonde. You'll have to bleach it...or, try using sun-in or lemon juice to get some natural sun highlights.

Want to dye medium brown hair into dirty-ish blonde... HELP!?!?

Do NOT do the Loreal Colorpulse... I used one to temporarily dye my blonde hair dark brown and it turned orange. It was AWFUL. I ended up going to a salon to get it FIXED and they did a fantastic job. I suggest you do the same. Ask your friends where they go to get their hair done-- there are lots of places that aren't super expensive that give you great results. If you don't like the maintenance and expense of dyed hair, you can try to get lighter highlights, which is what I did. However, I do not know how dark your hair is now and how light you want to go, so that is up to you.

Seriously, though, do not experiment at home. I have done it a bunch of times and not ONCE has it turned out the right way. Please listen to my advice!!!

Good luck!!

No coloring works for gray!!?

I recently just started getting some gray hair, (i know, yikes.) I have tried using Loreal Preference, Natural Instincts. It only stays for barely a week, why is that? Does anyone have any other suggestions as to gray coverage colorig that actually holds for longer than a fricken week?

No coloring works for gray!!?

Go to a beauty supply store in your area, and ask what they recommend for a good color to cover gray hair.

Personally, I recommend a product called ION color. They have an excellent gray-coverage line, plus every time I have used their color products, the hair has come out shiny and looking more healthy than before.

Where I live, the bottle of color cost about $5-$6, but if you don't have developer or a coloring bottle, you'll have to buy those too. An employee will be able to help show you what you need, and give you directions on what to do.

The reason those products haven't worked for you, is because none of them are permanent, or semi-permanent colors. They are very weak, and tend to fade almost as fast as temporary color.

Another personal opinion, never use "wal-mart" brands. They can actually damage your hair more than if you were to have it professionally done.

Good luck.

No coloring works for gray!!?

try getting your roots colored with your natural hair, try going to a salon because their products would come out great and stay in your hair for about a month, my neighbor does it and i would of never know this until she told me!

No coloring works for gray!!?

go to a hair place because if you do it at home it usually on stays for a bit and the hair places will cost quite a bit but it works well

No coloring works for gray!!?

Nothing hides the gray hair longer than two weeks.

Color pulse hot mahogany?

I have naturally dirty blonde hair and was going to go with red streaks but my hair is a very light dirty blonde. Would using loreal color pulse hot mahogany show up in my hair type? ( and not bright)

Color pulse hot mahogany?

It should.

Color pulse hot mahogany?

Yes it will. I have dark brown hair and it showed up. Depending on how long you leave it in will determine how bright it will be, but it fades.

If i want my hair to turn our dark dark borwn almost black......??

should i use a "dark brown" hair dye or a "natural black" i want it to look almost black or really really dark brown

also any suggestions on what brand dye to use, i was thinking loreal natural match or excellence creme but im not sure, which one is less damaging? i have pretty dry hair and a sensitive scalp.

i also dont have any gray im just dying it because i want it darker.

thanks so much! ill pick a best answer

If i want my hair to turn our dark dark borwn almost black......??

Natural black will be too harsh. A dark brown would be best. I have kohl black hair and use natural black to cover gray, but I wouldn't recommend it for others that want a natural look when their hair isn't naturally black.

I would look for a hair color that doesn't have ammonia in it. It will be less harsh on your hair. I'm not sure about those two, but check the box and look for 'no ammonia' or something that doesn't have it.

Sulfate Free Shampoos?

I am a guy with semi long hair and as of now I am using Loreal Vive Pro shampoo and conditioner. My scalp has become dry and slightly flaky (my hiardresser told me its not dandruff) Should I be using a different shampoo? maybe a sulfate free one? And if so which one(s)?

I was thinking about Organix. But not sure which one. My hair is usually very thick but my hair dresser thins it out. And I usually have to style with a blowdryer every other day.

Sulfate Free Shampoos?

I used to work in a salon, and whenever someone was looking for a sulfate free shampoo; I would point them in the direction of a company called "Enjoy". Ask your hairstylist where in your town you can purchase this company's product, for they aren't in all salon's. All of their products are sulfate free. So you can choose any of the combinations they have to offer (hydrating, volumizing, etc.).

Sulfate Free Shampoos?

i use Aveda products because they are mostly natural

you can go to aveda.com or check out Aveda in person by going to the salon or beauty school.

Also Aubrey Organics also do not have sulfates.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

i want more volumizing than lengthening.

(my eyelashes are naturally long, any longer would look creepy.)

i also want lash separation.

i want the "fake eyelash" effect, like so:

http://secondcitystyle.typepad.com/photo...

and any tips on applying?

is an eyelash curler worth it?

and please dont recommend brands like Loreal. Nothing personal, but i only like their hair products.

also i dont want to use Maybelline Great Lash (green lid, pink tube). it never worked for me.

Also i would rather not use like XL or XXL or XXXL or whatever they are. i hear these are very clumpy.

plus i want to spend under 20 bucks.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

you sound really fussy! yes, a lash curler is definitely worth it! a heated one is even better, but you can do this on the cheap by heating a metal curler with a hairdryer. have you tried actually using fake lashes!? allure [i think] make some amazing fakes that last 3 weeks, and come in lots of natural shades. as for maybelline great lash, its the best thing out there! i've tried so many different brands, but that is my favorite!

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

covergirl volume exact. it curls and adds a ton of volume.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

The ones I've found are Almay One-coat curling and Loreal Architect. Sorry about mentioning Loreal, but it is different from their usual mascaras.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

If you're willing to spend some bucks, Dior's Diorshow mascara is $23. It is worth every single penny, I promise. You can buy it at Sephora or at www.sephora.com. But if you don't want to spend up, then I recommend Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara. I think it's a lot like Diorshow Mascara, and it runs around $10. Look it up on www.maxfactor.com for stores. I think they sell it at WalMart also. Both of these are great for a fake eyelash look. Make sure to "wiggle" the mascara wand back and forth at the roots of your eyelashes so that they look thicker.

As for an eyelash curler...I own one, but I really don't need it unless I want a certain look or one of my eyelashes is acting funky. Maybe just get one by Revlon, which is good, but the best one is Shu Uemura's eyelash curler. It's about $15 and you can get that at www.sephora.com.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

Covergirl

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

the girls lashes in the picture are fake...and i believe she is either a cover girl or l'oreal model

I'm sorry dear but if you want to spend under 20 bucks your best bet is going to be a drug store brand

and I hate to say but from what you described we seem to have similar eyelashes and the best mascara I've ever used is L'oreal Voluminous...just saying

an eyelash curler is always worth it as is an eyelash comb

curl your lashes

start at the base and do a side to side motion all the way to the tip

then comb them to the neatness and direction you want

put on as many coats as you prefer and comb in between each coat

hope i helped

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

Maybelline Volume Express works pretty good for me. I have Asian eyes so I like a LOT of volume!

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

Clinique High Impact is good. Also Loreal Voluminous is great. Loreal is made by the same company that makes Lancome, so its good stuff, and I dont know what you have against it...

As for applying it, get as close to the base of your lashes as possible and wiggle the wand up your lashes. Then wiggle some more onto the base of your lashes. Two coats usually works for me.

The Best Volumizing Mascara?

First of all, you've gotta know that the girl in the picture IS wearing false eyelashes on both her top and bottom lashline. But for volume I'd recommend either something by Lancome (high end) or Volume Flash (Rimmel London) or my personal FAV: Maybelline Volum' Express Turbo Boost

Btw, XXL isn't all that clumpy, you've gotta put it on the right way.

I have PUFFY dry looking hair. If i use sunsilk hydra tlc will it work good? (HOT PINK BOTTLE)?

I have heard so many great things about hydra tlc! is it good?

also has anyone tried loreal hot straight straightening cream? is it good? i need something to protect my hair when i straighten it cuz i HAVE to straighten it it's so puffy but i think this is the cause of the dryness.

I have PUFFY dry looking hair. If i use sunsilk hydra tlc will it work good? (HOT PINK BOTTLE)?

yeah it works. i swear by sunsilk and it works lika charm. take my word for it.

I have PUFFY dry looking hair. If i use sunsilk hydra tlc will it work good? (HOT PINK BOTTLE)?

Well puffy hair is something you ant change it is a feature which many people would be proud of. Maybe you should us pantene for your dry hair or Hearbel Esscence Body Envy or Drama Clean

I have PUFFY dry looking hair. If i use sunsilk hydra tlc will it work good? (HOT PINK BOTTLE)?

Yeah ive tried tha shampoo and it helps with the puffiness but your hair still looks dry. but anywho if you buy it then also buy the 24/7 hydra tlc creme stuff its like 3 bucks but its really good!

What do i do?

i used loreal clour expert almond rocca or sumthing (my hair is naturally a dark, dark, brown) and it came out orangeish cus of the highlights is there any way 2 reverse the damage ive done? what would happen if i dyed my hair a dark ash brown?

What do i do?

If you can't afford to go to the hairdresser right away, you can use a semi-permanent hair color on your hair. These are the ones that say they wash out in XX shampoos. These products don't use any developer in them so they're fine for the hair.

ALL permanent hair colors have developer in them that causes the hair to change color...semi-permanent doesn't actually change the color of the hair, it just coats the hair....which is why it washes out after so many shampoos....also, that's why it's pretty safe for your hair. Even after a perm or a recent hair coloring.

I would use the same brand as the first one you used (semi-perm. this time) and try to find a color that is closest to your real color as you can.

And....I know another post said to stay away from ash but, IMO, you could use an ash brown in your hair and that would help tone down the orange. I would.

BTW....I am a licensed stylist.

Good luck....and next time....go to a professional to get your hair colored.

;o)

What do i do?

This sounds like a job for the beauty salon. If you dont want to dish out all the cash to get it fixed (color correcting prodecures run about 70 dollars an hour) pretty much the only option you have would be to dye it back to dark, dark brown. Nothing else will be able to cover the orange tint.

What do i do?

You should wait at least 3 days before using any other color again so your hair won't have any permanent damage. I recomend you to dye it dark again or go to a profesional if you want to have a smoother color.

What do i do?

Go to a beauty supply store in your area (some you have to have a beauty liscence for, others like a Sallys is open to the public if you have that in your area) and buy a color corrector, it will cost maybe 15 bucks but that only makes your hair ready to re-dye right away because it only leaves you with an orange-y base to work with. If worst comes to worse you can go get it professionally done but it will cost you. You could try dying it again just on top of the colour expert, ive done it plenty of times...good luck!

What do i do?

it would be fine.

What do i do?

stay away from ash color. go to someone professional. they can help you with your problem.

What do i do?

it would be fine

OMG Please help, I have to go to work tomorrow?

A while back I had my hair done professionally and it was platinum blonde. I am a natural blonde just not that light. Well, as my roots started coming in it was getting pretty bad. I wanted to dye it just back to my natural color because I am pregnant and don't want to have to keep doing it over again. Well, I used Loreal Couleur Experte 8.2 which is one of the lighter shades. The top of my hair looks great where I did the highlights however in the front toward the bottom my hair is GREY or purplish depending on the light. Is there ANYTHING I can do? I have tried a blonde shampoo and even some of that John Frieda hair glaze stuff. Nothing is working. I looks a little better but it is still really noticeable. Especially when I show up to work, I was platinum on Friday and grey on Monday.... I can just hear the "blonde who dyed her hair gray" jokes. Please Help!!! I went to their website to get the number but something is wrong with the website and it won't go to the help pag

OMG Please help, I have to go to work tomorrow?

If your husband threw out the box bring a piece of paper with you to the store and write down the number :P And if it looks that bad you just might have too buy more dye.

Good luck :)

OMG Please help, I have to go to work tomorrow?

I haven't had good results with Couleur Experte. The highlights were fried, fried, fried.

You could go to a salon, if one is open.

I would isolate the highlights that you like and then re-dye the rest in a soft brown.

TX Mom

OMG Please help, I have to go to work tomorrow?

First of all, let me just say that I totally sympathize with your situation. I've been there. For a while I dyed my hair a really light blonde by myself, but then when I started experimenting with different shades and brands and highlights and lowlights, I consequently got uneven color. Some of my hair looked blonde, some of it looked sort of orange, and some of it looked -- you guessed it! -- gray! Of course, I panicked because when I did this dye job it was a school night, so I begged my mom to take me to the 24-hour Walgreen's.

What I ended up doing was buying a box of color stripper and a box of hair dye that was a few shades darker than what I had been sporting. If you decide to use a color stripper, I must warn you about a few things.

1. First and foremost, read ALL the directions and warnings before you start mixing anything.

2. EXPECT your hair to turn bright orange or yellow! It will NOT return your hair to its original color. Bummer, I know.

3. You HAVE to use this product in a well-ventilated area -- especially since you're pregnant. DO NOT think that your bathroom is a good place just because it has an exhaust fan. In fact, if at all possible, walk around outside after using the color stripper.

4. Leave the color stripper on for the maximum time that it recommends for your hair color/type. I know it's hard to be patient when your hair starts turning bright orange/gold, but leaving it on for the specified time is key to successful color stripping!

5. Finally, rinse, Rinse, RINSE!

Once you're done with the color stripper, follow all the directions for the hair dye EXACTLY, paying special attention to the time chart. Since your hair has a gray tint to it, you don't want to pick a color that has "ash" in it (i.e., cool tones). Additionally, since you will have just stripped your hair, don't go with something that has too many warm tones in it either. Try to find a color that says "natural tones" on it.

If all of this sounds like too much work and too unpredictable, and the thought of stripping your hair scares you, then try putting your hair up in a French twist or a bun on Monday -- and schedule an appointment for the hair salon ASAP!

I hope my advice helps!

Help!! I want to dye my black hair into brown-honey color!!?

At the moment my hair is dyed brown and has blonde highlights , but the black roots are already obvious!!..the thing is that i dont want to go to a salon is way toexpensive and my hair grows very fast so i want to start doing it at home...any suggestion ??? Help!! I want to dye my black hair into brown-honey color!!?

I know the Clariol collection does have root touch up (http://www.clairol.com/brand/root_touchu...

But another option is you can totally remove your hair color if you cant find the right shade of Brown-Honey. There is such a thing as Hair Oops that takes out permenant hair color.

Loreal superior preference les true brunettes UL63?

I bought this hair dye my natural hair color is medium brown and since being out in the sun it has blonde orangy highlights at the tips. if i use this hair dye will it make my hair more orange? or would it be the " ultra light brown gold" color that it says !?!? please help!!

Loreal superior preference les true brunettes UL63?

Store bought hair colour uses a 20 volume peroxide, which means it will only lighten your hair 2 levels. It says it lifts"up to 3 levels" on the box, but in my experience, it doesn't. Medium brown lightened 3 levels, is only a light brown/dark blonde. And anything around that level is going to be very brassy. My advice is this: take one tsp of the peroxide and mix it with one tsp of the colour, and do a strand test. I know it's time consuming, but it may save you a trip to the hairdressers to fix a huge mess.

If I use temporary hair dye will it ruin my permanent blonde highlights - please read?

I have permanent professionally done blonde highlights. My hair is a dirty brownish/golden at the moment and I want to use Loreal Color Pulse temporary dye to dye it a dark brown temporarily. Will this ruin the highlights? Thanks!

If I use temporary hair dye will it ruin my permanent blonde highlights - please read?

I've used the same brand, Loreal Colour Pulse, but dyed my hair purple and pink. After a week or two, the colour completely faded out of my streaks. I had thin blonde highlights done though, so if you've got thick ones, the colour might stay in longer depending on how much it's concentrated. But it should completely fade out within a month. It's a natural colour though, so it should be fine !

Good luck with it, if you end up doing it ! :)

If I use temporary hair dye will it ruin my permanent blonde highlights - please read?

yeah the bleach in the hair dye will react and take out the already blonde highlights

my mums a hairdresser

so when you dye your hair you will have to get your highlights re done!

xx

If I use temporary hair dye will it ruin my permanent blonde highlights - please read?

Yes it will. Treat yourself and go to a hairdressers. There is nothing worse than a bad hair YEAR!

If I use temporary hair dye will it ruin my permanent blonde highlights - please read?

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

i need 2 dye my hair.. what do you think would be the best brand e.g loreal thx xx

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

loreal

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

Anything exept feria or anything with metallic dye in it. If your going lite to dark go with a warm color. Remember too you cant pull color out with color. So if u want to go lite youll have to get it bleached!

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

My whole family swears by Clairol's Nice N Easy !!!! Because, that's exactly what it is: Nice N Easy!!! Smile!!!!

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

I wouldn't recommend any hair dyes, if you want it done beautifully get a hair stylist to do it.

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

grainier FRUITLEX

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

The best hair dye I have ever encountered is called: Salerm

go to: www.salerm.com, then click on your state. It will give you

your local sales office. It's a professional dye. You will have to buy it through a salesman. Call him and tell him that you need to see the color wheel to select the color you like.It comes from Spain. It's well worth the trouble. Good Luck!

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

Dont buy cheap tint....And dont buy tint from a box if you do you are putting metal salts in your hair...Go to Sallys and buy Miss Clariol that will cost you around 350 just better for the hair

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

I recommend professional hair colorist only...

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

In order to answer properly - you need to describe your hair type and what you have done to it and what color you want to go... is it to cover Grey? Have you bleached it in the past? is it in good condition? is it chemically straightened? Different brands are better in different colors... for example I love redkin for blonds, but hate the reds....L'oreal feria is fab if your hair is virginal%26amp; healthy....preferance for greys goldwell for shine etc....... so ask a better question...

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

i recommend a stylist do it for a professional look.doing it yourself you don't have the proper hair care, and your hair will look like hay.

What would be the best brand to use for hair dye?

I would go see a professional for coloring because they will determine the right shade for you. If you do decide to do it at home, try not to go more than 2 shades lighter or darker than your natural hair color.

Color mouse hair dye?

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k146/t...

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k146/t...

ignore ridiculous faces please

theres that loreal color pulse stuff

does that work? and if so which color should i go with

ORRRRRR any other mousse type dyes that you dont need bleach for that you would reccomend?

Color mouse hair dye?

THEY SUCK.

My hair is the same color as yours basically.

They're like 6 bucks a can (Loreal) and they don't make much of a stain at all except on your scalp.

Just go straight for the gusto with some good old fashioned hair killing dye.

Or try colored mascara, just brush it in and comb it out when it dries just for fun every now and then.

Color mouse hair dye?

Yup they all petty much sux I try everything cuz I have really thin hair but got tired of applying this stuff every time, cuz of how dark your hair is some colors don't show and the ones that do make your hair all hard like if u had applied hairspray or gel, it sux and u have nice long hair .If u really want nice britte colors bleaching would be the way to go , or some ppl say that peroxide works 2 and it won't damage it .

How do I make my hair color brighter WITHOUT bleaching?

I'm dying my hair dark purple with pink highlights.

I think I heard somewhere that vinagar works?

Any suggestions?

I'm using Loreal Color Rays

http://www.pharmaprix.ca/french/beauty/w...

How do I make my hair color brighter WITHOUT bleaching?

you could use a mild lightener or the sun lighten your hair somtimes.

How do I make my hair color brighter WITHOUT bleaching?

vinager dosent work! it makes ur hair stringy! idk how to lighten it, im trying to find that out too

How do I make my hair color brighter WITHOUT bleaching?

ummm, I dunno

How do I make my hair color brighter WITHOUT bleaching?

Vinegar will crap your hair up worse than bleach. I don't know how to make it brighter without bleach sorry. You can make it more vibrant with heat processing though (hairdryer) while you dye, and leaving it in a bit longer. Loreal isn't good to leave in overnight like Manic Panic, so I wouldn't try it, but leave it in, like, twice as long, and dug at your hair every once in a while to make sure it doesn't slip out of your scalp (it happens, but not often). Drop me a line if you need more help...

How do I make my hair color brighter WITHOUT bleaching?

So I went to cosmotology school. You cannot get your hair lighter without some sort of bleaching product... if you could... people wouldnt bleach their hair. Sure you can do it with peroxide or other dumb stuff... but its not going to be more healthy and your hair will look like hell.

I wont commit on the purple and pink.

How do I make my hair color brighter WITHOUT bleaching?

I read in a magazine to spray lemonjuice mixed with chammomile tea in, and sit in the for 4 hours. But you don't have to sit in the sun, you can chill with friends at the beach and play volleyball or something to pass the time by. Im not too sure about how long in the sun your supposed to stay so go check out Seventeen, or TeenCosmo they'll def have tips for you.

How do I make my hair color brighter WITHOUT bleaching?

Vinegar will just clean your hair to get rid of residue and will make it shiny. Use it diluted with water, and do not use it more than once every couple of weeks as it will dry your hair and scalp. Also it will really be harsh on dyed hair.

I am not sure what you are asking, are you stripping color from your hair to put purple dye in it? That is different from brightening.

My haircolor keeps changing!?

Around 4 years ago I dyed by hair blonde (I did not bleach it). I then colored it light brown around 2 years ago. A year ago I dyed it dark brown. The problem is, my hair keeps on getting lighter! It is now orangy-blondish and I've tried several times to dye it simply brown. I am not a lot in the sun so I don't think its bleached by the sun but it might be the water.. Every time I shower it gets lighter and it is clearly visible. People keep on commenting that I always have a different hair color. Anyone know how I can prevent the color from fading when I wash it and a color which REALLY sticks? My hair has always been dyed professionally using Loreal.. Please someone help me who is a hairdresser or who has had the same problem!

My haircolor keeps changing!?

I can't help, but either way, it is better than being bald!

My haircolor keeps changing!?

It gets orangey because it was not applied properly. Your hair is now very damaged. You need professional help!

My haircolor keeps changing!?

it could be the sunlight, everytime i go out in the sun my hair gets lighter

My haircolor keeps changing!?

Next It will all fall out and you can wear a wig that will always be the same color.

My haircolor keeps changing!?

LOL i went through this!!! i once dyed my hair blonde, then dark brown but the dark brown would wash out and i was left with red hair!!! ahhhhh!! so now after years and years of red hair i dyed my hair deep brown and finally its actually stayed dark brown!!

for you I would suggest dying it medium ash brown, that will take all the left over color out of your hair.

My haircolor keeps changing!?

Yes, that happens. Colored hair will always fade until your hair grows out. Anything you put on it to darken it will look O.K. for a few weeks but gradually fade and turn hair an unusual shade from the product that did stay. It's a no win battle and chemically coloring your hair, although dark is less harmful, will cause damage over time. Been there.

My haircolor keeps changing!?

Well, it sounds like there are several factors at work here. My first guess would be that you are not using the right kind of shampoo. Are you using one for color treated hair? Shampoo for normal hair on color treated hair will cause it the color to fade fast.(styling products too!) It could also be the type of water where you live (hard, soft water.. the minerals in the water can cause havoc on color treated hair) If the water type is a factor then it becomes even more important that you use a good shampoo to protect the color.

Second.. is your hair long? Have you had several good cuts to get rid of the hair that has seen its fair share of color? If not, the longer hair on the bottom is going to grab darker each time you color, giving the "newer" hair towards the top a lighter appearance.

Third..it sounds like its time to get a new stylist with some new color. There are lots of wonderful brands of colors out there, and to be honest with you, not many professionals use Loreal in the salon anymore. If you have been going to the same one who keeps using the same product on you, then shame on them for not taking care of you!

So cheer up..head to a brand new salon talk to a color specialist, get it fixed right and use good shampoos and conditioners on it!

Switching shampoos and conditioners????

why do people switch their shampoos and conditioners? i dont have damaged hair but i use shampoos and such that r for damaged and dry hair. is that bad for my hair? i switch off from neurogena triple moisture shampoo and conditioner, the new loreal pink vive pro shampoo and conditioner, the john frieda briliant brunette shampoo and conditioner. r these good shampoos and conditioners? oh yea i also use the triple moisture neutrogena hair mask once a week to make my hair shiny and soft.

Switching shampoos and conditioners????

people switch their shampoo/conditioners to see what one they like and does what they want them to do. like you, you switch cause you like the shampoo/conditioner for the day and do something different the next day to give your hair a different feel to it,i do it and want you are doing is good for your hair.

Switching shampoos and conditioners????

Just like your body adjusts to medication, your hair adjusts to shampoos. It's best to rotate your shampoo/conditioners every other week.

Switching shampoos and conditioners????

All shampoos are essentially the same.

Your hair doesn't need time to "adjust" to a shampoo, that's a myth.

It'll clean your hair and do whatever else it advertises.

So whatever shampoo you choose is fine.

I'm partial to John Frieda, I like it because it doesn't weigh my hair down and makes it soft.

Haven't used the other two, though.

What's the best shampoo/conditioner for my hair?

I have straight hair. It is quite shiny and very silky but after about 2 days it gets oily. It's not really a problem. Only if I can't wash my hair though. Anyways, yeah I have pretty good hair. (: Its really dark brown. Almost black.

Shampoo/conditioners I've user: thermasilk, dove, herbal essensses, pantene, sunsilk, and loreal vive pro.

Yush, something I haven't used before please. x]

Something that will keep my hair soft and silky.

Thanks! I will choose best answer.

What's the best shampoo/conditioner for my hair?

I have a license- I love to buy Biolage.

What's the best shampoo/conditioner for my hair?

If you havent tried biolage , you should try it. It has always done wonders for my hair. Its a salon hair product, but not that expensive. Also sauve is another really good one and you can buy that at walmart or usually any grocery/general merchandise store! Good luck

What's the best shampoo/conditioner for my hair?

yes biolage, sleek.look. -matrix, umm organix shea butter line. nexxus,

What's the best shampoo/conditioner for my hair?

Pantene leaves too much of a waxy buildup on the hair. Most drugstore product does.

I recommend getting Joico Chelating Shampoo. You only use it every 2nd or 3rd shampoo. It removes any buildup you have from your regular shampoo or conditioner.

The only drugstore product I actually like is Garnier Fructis. I had to use it a couple of times when I was visiting my sister and I forgot my stuff, and it wasn't really all that bad. I sometimes still use it.

Help getting hair dye to stay in....?

I'm a natural blonde, but every time I try to dye my hair brown it literally fades withing 48 hours. I've tried this multiple times, with loreal, gardnier fructis, and anyother you can think of but it won't stay in! It's like God wants me to be blonde and nothing else XD

Help getting hair dye to stay in....?

Well maybe you are using the wrong dye try using a cream called igora royal i use it to go blonde and it lasts for 6 to 8 months so go to the wholesale shop for hairdressers or ask the salon to pick u one up find out what number u need though i use igora royal 12-0 thats blonde tho and its cream wont damage ur hair all u have to add to it is 40% proxide to make the color lift its nice stuff try it goodluck by the way leave it on for 45 mins cover with plastic bag to keep heat in on ur head

Help getting hair dye to stay in....?

try going to a salon. Or after you color it dont wash it for 24-48 hours, and try to leave the dye in a little longer.

Really stubborn gray hairs: What hair colorist product works best?

My mom has some really stubborn gray hairs at the top of her head. I bought her some time ago Loreal Excellence Cream, even thought, it worked very well compared to others, the gray hairs are still visible. What other product you consider works better?

Really stubborn gray hairs: What hair colorist product works best?

Go to a professional. You will get much better results. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Really stubborn gray hairs: What hair colorist product works best?

Clairol L'Image.

I have recently got my hair streaked. I want to know how should I take care of it now what products

i am told, that coloring affects the hair. I have lovely hair and want to maintain them even after streaking. Please guide me how should i take care of them?

which products should i use- shampoo and conditioner? which brand- have been suggested loreal.

is oiling required?

I have recently got my hair streaked. I want to know how should I take care of it now what products shud i use

As a stylist, I would suggest first determining wether your hair was damaged from the process. If your feels a little dry you will want a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. If your hair is thin and fine with damage, you will want a volumizing shampoo and a moisturizing conditioner. If your hair turned feeling great, you have some freedom to play around with products, just make sure they are of good ingredients. Peace

At home hair color that lasts?

My hair is very dry from over prossesing, and i color it at home with loreal feria, my problem is it only holds for a few weeks (about 3 or 4). Is there a better color out there that would hold alot longer?

At home hair color that lasts?

I can honestly say, I have a haircoloring problem. I have dyed my hair easily within the last 3 months about 10 times. How sad is that?

Anyhow.. I have used just about every product out there and I have found that Loreal is the next to last brand that I trust to put in my hair (Redken is the first!).

When you have been dying your hair, have you been lightening it or darkening it? I have found that some hair colors just won't stay in light hair. Also, if you have too light of a color to begin with (if you had your hair previously blonde), the color washes out a LOT faster than it would if you had started out with a darker color. My problem right now is that I have dyed it so much (dark) that it won't lighten up with me dying it myself.

ANYHOW.. to answer your question, I would definitely go with Clairol or Garnier color. They usually both run about the same price, but they usually give you the color you want.

BUT.. before you do ANYTHING... make sure your hair can handle being dyed. If it is so dry, the last thing you want is all of it (or patches) falling out.

-jamie

At home hair color that lasts?

I would leave it alone for awhile or condition it very well. I use tresemme conditioner to soften my hair I have been dying it for years you have to be very careful you will burn it and frizz it. you should really go to a licensed hairdresser so she can condition it for you and use the real stuff on your hair the best thing for you GOOD LUCK

At home hair color that lasts?
