What do i do?

If you can't afford to go to the hairdresser right away, you can use a semi-permanent hair color on your hair. These are the ones that say they wash out in XX shampoos. These products don't use any developer in them so they're fine for the hair.

ALL permanent hair colors have developer in them that causes the hair to change color...semi-permanent doesn't actually change the color of the hair, it just coats the hair....which is why it washes out after so many shampoos....also, that's why it's pretty safe for your hair. Even after a perm or a recent hair coloring.

I would use the same brand as the first one you used (semi-perm. this time) and try to find a color that is closest to your real color as you can.

And....I know another post said to stay away from ash but, IMO, you could use an ash brown in your hair and that would help tone down the orange. I would.

BTW....I am a licensed stylist.

Good luck....and next time....go to a professional to get your hair colored.

;o)

This sounds like a job for the beauty salon. If you dont want to dish out all the cash to get it fixed (color correcting prodecures run about 70 dollars an hour) pretty much the only option you have would be to dye it back to dark, dark brown. Nothing else will be able to cover the orange tint.

You should wait at least 3 days before using any other color again so your hair won't have any permanent damage. I recomend you to dye it dark again or go to a profesional if you want to have a smoother color.

Go to a beauty supply store in your area (some you have to have a beauty liscence for, others like a Sallys is open to the public if you have that in your area) and buy a color corrector, it will cost maybe 15 bucks but that only makes your hair ready to re-dye right away because it only leaves you with an orange-y base to work with. If worst comes to worse you can go get it professionally done but it will cost you. You could try dying it again just on top of the colour expert, ive done it plenty of times...good luck!

it would be fine.
