Darkest brown OR light brown?!?

My hair was naturally medium to dark brown ..

I dyed it 2 and a half months ago.. with loreal couleur experte 5.0 caramel glaze.

turned out BRIGHT orange!! almost yellow in some areas..

so I dyed it back with brown hairdye by loreal preference:

3rd row color "BROWN"

Now the orange is starting to show through..

SO

I'm dying it again, no matter what..

so what do you think will be better color - brown (dark brown taht is), or LIGHT brown?!

I've also considered mahogany/ burgundy.

dark brown, definatly.

because my hair turuned out orange when i dyed it light brown.

and it will slowly fade into a medium brown
