i have a real full head of frizzy thick long hair. it used to be curly but has gone frizzier over the years. ive tried loreal, pantene, john frieda, frizz ease and most of the other well known highstreet brands. anyone know anything which really works?

Well I know that either Dove shampoo and conditoner really works but a really good one is SunSilk I am really frizzy hair to and both of them are great!

I have really thick, long and frizzy hair too. I love what Head and Shoulders does to my hair. It's not just for dry scalp anymore! You can buy it for all different kinds of hair. It tames my frizzy and thick hair and leaves it shiny and healthy! I love it! I switch from that and Sunsilk Anti-poof. It is made for exactly that. I always switch my shampoos because once your hair gets used to something, it stops reacting like it used to. So I'd suggest Head and Shoulders and Sunsilk Anti Poof!

Garnier Fructis. (: You will probably need 'Sleek %26amp; Shine', but 'Curl %26amp; Shine' would be best because its for curly hair, which you said you have(?). There is also a hydrating one, which would also be good because frizz is caused by dry hair. Get the shampoo, conditioner, and leave in.

Also, Loreal Vive Pro is good. They have different shampoos%26amp;conditioners specifically for almost all hair types. Other suggestions: Tresseme (I love their products), Sunsilk (I just use the 24/7 creme, but just that works well %26amp; my friend uses it and says it works well), %26amp;Dove (I heard it works well).

Also, you said just "shampoo". Perhaps you should condition also; if not, at least get a leave in.

my family has the same kind of hair. One thing to do is not wash your hair every day, you'd be surprised how long you can get away with it.

Shampoo isn't the problem, it's what you do after you wash your hair that is the problem. After shampoo and conditioner, put another handful of conditioner in your hair and leave it. Don't touch it too much, either when it is wet or after it dries.

Towel dry then apply: "SoftSheen-Carson Care Free Curl GOLD Instant Activator" (found in most grocery/drug stores in the ethnic section. I am caucasian but this stuff works great on my hair %26amp; is not greasy).

The real key is a somewhat heavy conditioner %26amp; ALWAYS condition!

Don't know if you blow dry but it's a no-no on curly %26amp;/or frizzy hair! Only makes it much worse %26amp; diffusers don't really help either.

Okay, your not going to find a good shampoo or conditioner at the drug store. Go to a salon or beauty supply and try out Redken's Smooth Down, or Fresh Curls or Bedheads Catwalk- curls rock. Catwalks Curl amplifer works really well as a styler. But those shampoos are really nice for curly hair.
