I used loreal feria about a year ago. You can still see some tint in it, but not much. It showed a little back then, but i had long hair and used one box. Now my hair is naturally black, and shoulder length. What color should i use (red type) and should i use two boxes? At the same time, or should i dye with one first, and wait a week and dye again?

Same here! I like Garnier Nutrisse in Chocolate Cherry. And my hair is super dark - so dark that "born blonde" won't make it blonde! Although now I have cool red stripes ;)

One box is usually enough - I use two just because my hair is super thick...

I was basically in the same boat as you for this one.

I used Clairol Natural Instincts, it's semi permanent but I don't know if that's what you want.

I really liked the Cinnabery shade, it wasn't like super red or super auburn but a nice middle ground. I get lots of compliments on it.

I used just one box, trust me it's more than enough. My hair is the same length as yours. I dyed mine and then dyed it later but like 2-3 weeks later. I recommend that.

I have thick hair and always require two boxes of hair dye. Be careful with red it is a very hard color to get out of your hair yet fades rapidly. Go Figure? The garnier fructis brand is the only drugstore brand I use. If you want to go red the right way go to a salon. If at home is your only option use both boxes at the same time dont wait any time in between. GOOD LUCK

i use too use box but this last time i had to go to a hair dresser because the color went south it came out flaming red and i tried a wash but the red was to strong. so i suggest to go pro. worth the money

I have dark brown, almost black hair as well. I just tried Loreal, color match to lighten my hair to a chocolate brown color. This product worked really well........I got my hair down to the shade I wanted it. It's hard to find a product that lightens my hair as I have naturally dark hair, but the Loreal, color match works great!!! The color match line just came out recently.
