How do you convince a parent into letting you dye your hair?

I want to dye mine purple using Loreal Color Pulse, but she won't let me. If anyone can give me some tips as to convince her that it won't damage my hair and that it washes out fairly quick, that'd be awesome!

I actually used that color twice: once to color my tips and again to do a little two-toned style, but I admit getting my mom to agree in the first place was pretty difficult. You need to make sure she knows that it'll only be in for 1-2 weeks or so. Also let her know that it's YOUR hair and if anything goes wrong, or if it turns out looking bad, YOU are the one who's going to have to live with it. Just talk to her and be honest about WHY you want to color it purple. Hopefully she'll come around. Mine did.

P.S. The color really comes out as a dark burgundy, but it's still stunning.

the plum purple color comes out more red than purple its like a red violet. my friend dyed her hair with that color once.yeah the color pulse washes out! it stays for 1-2 weeks.

also you can say that ur sick of ur hair color now. thats what i said and i had brown hair with grown out highlights and my mom let me dye it red so try one of those

Why don't you two compromise and get a colored mousse instead. They have all kinds of products at the beauty supply store that wash out in the first wash.

tell them that you wanna, but ask if you can do wash out so you can see what it looks like but if you dont like it will was out in ab out 3 weeks and if they say 3 weeks is too long tell them it only last a week.

just to tell you, this girl at my school tried it, and it looked really bad. anyways, i would just tell my mom its a one time thing (even if it isn't you can deal with it later) and that it will come off in two weeks. plus that stuff isn't like bright purple, so its not that bad. if that doesn't work, try making a deal out of it. "if i make a 95 on my history test, can i do it?" or maybe like "if i don't text all the time for two weeks, can i?"
