Dying highlights?

hi =]

I have black hair , and i want to dye a dark red highlight (at home) . I bought the Loreal mosse thing that last about 8 -10 washes. So i was wondering how would i dye highlights cause if only had instructions for dying the whole hair. ThankzZ . (P.S. would it look bad?)

Dying highlights?

I think that would look really cool. You may want to have a friend help you. Divide your hair into 4 sections. Two on top two on the bottom. Then start with the bottom and select a few strands and slather dye on them and then do the other sections.

Or you could just dye the top sections and leave your hair kinda like christina aguliera

It might not show very well. Just get a highlight comb and go at it free hand. IT'll look nice if you don't make the highlights chuncky.

Dying highlights?

If you have black hair, and you are planning to use a wash-out mousse, it probably won't show up. Highlights are almost always permanent because you have to lighten the hair and then add the color you want. Since your hair is so dark, you may not be successly.

If you decide to go for it anyway, I'd invest in a cap that you can pull chunks of your hair through, or get a friend to help you isolate the chunks of hair you want to highlight.
